The European Commission has announced the creation of a European Labour Authority. Properly implemented, such an authority could help to effectively combat cross-border wage and social dumping. In sectors such as construction or transport, more than half of all posting companies engage in wage dumping. Now is the right time for our suggestions!

Your vote against EU social dumping!

Trade unions have developed a plan to put the creation of a European Labour Authority at the service of workers.

Join us in our fight for a European Union that will make our labour markets fairer and raise your voice for a European Labour Authority that will:

  • Counter social dumping and cross-border social fraud
  • Guarantee the rights of workers across the EU by supporting the effective implementation and control of labour and social standards
  • Enable cross-border enforcement of sanctions against dumping companies
  • Respect the autonomy of social partners and strengthen social dialogue
  • Ensure that companies respect collective agreements and the principle of equal pay for equal work at the same place
  • Inform employees and companies about their respective rights and obligations
  • Support trade unions to enforce the rights of workers across the EU.

Support us!

We need as many votes as possible to convince the European Commission! Support us now and make your voice heard. There is still time until January 7!

The European Commission is currently collecting proposals to establish a European Labour Authority in order to fight unfair workers’ mobility in the EU via a so-called public consultation. Trade unions across Europe have come up with a plan to respond to the questions from the European Commission. Until 7 January 2018, workers, citizens and organizations can make their voice heard. If we vote together, the European Commission cannot overemphasize us!
